Factor 75 Meal Planning
Meal planning has been something I have thought about exploring. I am always interested in healthy meal options that are easy to manage. When we were little, our mothers either cooked healthy meals from scratch or fed us TV dinners. Today, everyone is busy with careers, family, school and juggling all of the stressors that life tends to throw our way.
Millennials have come of age and they want healthy eating and living without all of the work. Therefore, companies realized that meal and food delivery services would quickly become a lucrative and viable option to meet the needs of Millennials. This has allowed this market niche to grow rapidly.
I recently tried Hello Fresh and wrote a review on my blog and I want to add to that review by doing a review on the meal delivery service called Factor 75.
Here is how Factor 75 works: it is a subscription based service that does not require a contract and delivery of orders may be easily postponed and/or canceled from the phone app or computer at any time prior to the specified delivery deadline. You can order as few as 6 meals per week up to18 meals per week depending on the subscription and price point that you choose.
Factor 75 offers a selection of Paleo, Keto, Low Carb, and Gluten Free diet friendly meals. A chef makes your meal selections each week based on your preferences, but you may also go in and manually change your order before the order’s deadline. If you go online and type in Factor 75 coupon, then you can use the coupons to get $20 off the 1st week and $20 off the 2nd week, plus they offer coupons for shipping. If you refer a friend to receive a coupon and they place an order, then you receive a coupon too. If you Google Factor 75 coupons this is what you will get:
Coupons for $40 off your first two weeks ($20 per week for the first two
weeks): Coupons for free shipping:
I started my first 2 weeks at 6 meals because I didn’t want to make a huge investment in case I didn’t like it. I used the for my lunch because the portions are not enough to fill me for a dinner plate since I am so active. Below are the options and price points and I am including a link to the Factor 75 meal plan options:
You can check it out here
For your convenience I have provided a snip of the meal plan options below:
The portions are not huge, but depending on which ones you get, they are surprisingly filling due to protein and low carb content of the food. Each person will have to decide for themselves whether the meal satisfies their hunger or not. I always love things that are old school tried and true, but since I am also an adventurous person, I always enjoy trying out new things. Many of these companies offer coupons for new orders making it easy to try different services until you find the one you like best.
These meals are a little pricey as compared to other options, but the quality of the ingredients makes it very worth it to me. I choose to have quality over quantity with these meals. I like the fact that the meals are cooked fresh and not processed like frozen meals tend to be.
The company is working on expanding their weekly menu options and chefs prepare the meals fresh each week the day before they ship. Customers are given a deadline for selecting and/or changing orders before they are cooked and shipped and changes may also be made easily in advance. Since my delivery day is Wednesday, then Tuesday they cook the food and Wednesday they ship via FedEx right to my doorstep. It is not frozen and it is well packed and insulated in a manageable sized box. It takes 5 minutes to open the box and stack them in the refrigerator.
One great feature of this meal delivery service is that the packing materials and insulation can be easily reduced for recycling so that it is eco-friendly. This is important to everyone especially Millennials. The food has an expiration date for the following Wednesday which makes it very easy to remember since the new shipment comes on that day.
One week I went out of town and had 4 meals left that would expire before I returned home. Therefore, I put them in the freezer and they worked out just fine and tasted great!! They even have carb friendly Pumpkin Pancakes and Blueberry Pancakes that are delicious! The pancakes even come with a little container of maple syrup and seasoned butter. Since I don’t mind the calories, I use the syrup provided. However, my wife likes to maintain her figure so she uses Cary’s Sugar Free Maple syrup sweetened with Splenda that she keeps in the refrigerator to save on her calorie intake.
The ingredients in Factor75 are very high quality. Here are pictures of the ingredients found in one of my favorite meals, Steak with Cauliflower Mash:
This is what each meal package looks like:
The name, Factor 75, is found on the side of the box for ease of identification when they are neatly stacked in the refrigerator.
Overall I give this service a thumbs up if you don’t mind the cost, but that is one opinion among many. Its greatest drawback is the cost, and you definitely can’t feed a family on this service. For me, the niche it fills is a convenient, fast, high quality, and healthy lunch. It also serves the purpose when the rest of the family is away doing their activities and I find myself dining solo in the man cave and want a healthy meal! If you have tried this or any other service or if you want to see more articles like this, then please leave a comment or contact me to share your opinions.
